About Us

A school built on faith, sign language and the dignity of every child.

Immanuel began as a small dream in Ringa: that no deaf child in Nyanza should grow up without language, learning or love.

A vibrant classroom of deaf learners

Our story

Founded in 2007 by Mr. Wesley Imbuchi Ageng'onear Ringa town, Immanuel opened its first classroom with a handful of learners and a single mission: to give deaf children in Nyanza Province a place to belong, to learn in Kenyan Sign Language, and to know they are loved by God and their community.

Today we serve learners from ECDE through Junior Secondary in safe, bilingual classrooms — fully embracing the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and partnering with families, churches and donors across Kenya and beyond.

A message of welcome

Welcome to Immanuel Integrated Christian School.

Since our establishment in 2007, Immanuel Integrated Christian School has remained committed to providing quality, holistic, and Christ-centered education to all learners. What began as a vision founded on faith, compassion, and service has today grown into one of the leading private schools embracing the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) within a fully inclusive environment.

At Immanuel, we believe that every child is uniquely gifted by God and deserves equal opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Guided by Christian values and the principles of inclusive education, we are proud to be among the first schools to fully embrace inclusivity by providing equal access to education for all learners, including learners with disabilities.

Our mission is inspired by the Constitution of Kenya 2010, the Persons with Disabilities Act (2003), the Basic Education Act (2013), and the Ministry of Education policies promoting inclusive and equitable quality education for all children. These frameworks continue to strengthen our commitment to ensuring that no learner is left behind.

We deeply appreciate the support we have received throughout this journey from our partners, parents, teachers, administrators, and the wider community. We especially honor the late Rev. Neville, former President of Deaf Ministries International, whose encouragement and unwavering support helped shape this vision from its inception. We also sincerely thank Deaf Ministries International, Deaf Child Hope, the Ministry of Education, church organizations, and all stakeholders who continue to stand with us in transforming lives through education.

As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to nurturing academically competent, spiritually grounded, socially responsible, and confident learners prepared to positively impact society.

Thank you for believing in the vision of Immanuel Integrated Christian School. Together, we continue building a community where every child matters, every ability is valued, and every dream is possible.
